Works Spreadsheet saved as Word document

I created a spreadsheet using Works Spreadsheet, but saved it as a Word
document in error. Is there any way of resaving/opening it as a Works
Spreadhseet so I can read it?

Just change the .doc extension to the one that Works uses.
Usually .xlr or the older .wks this is done using the rename
function. No problemo.
