Works 8 Spreadsheet Problem

I am operating Vista Home Premium.
In Works 8 Spreadsheet, when I click on "Format>Alignment" (to center text
across columns) I get a message "Microsoft Works 8 has stopped working". A
Microsoft solution came back that it was "a problem that occurred when
printing" and there was a patch for it (which could remove some printing
capability). Since I wasn't printing, I hesitate to install the fix. This is
a repeatable problem. I did it 3-4 times with the same result.
Has anyone else encountered it, and found a way to fix it?
 
I found the solution and am sharing it for the benefit of others.
Microsoft describes it is "a problem that occurred when printing". But it
also occurs when "formating" in the spreadsheet and also with the Database of
Works 8.5. Downloading and installing the KB933828-msp file will fix the
problem for all "Microsoft Works 8 has stopped working" problems. It just
isn't described that way.
