First off I can't find a works forum so I appologize if this isn't the right
area, but the error could be a Windows issue as well.
I have a user that received a new laptop and needed Works 6.0 installed.
The laptop already has Office 2003 so he never uses Works for anything but
the database and for some reason when it opens it gives
wksdb.exe Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000018). Click OK to
terminate the application.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling - same issue
I tried installing Works 7.0 - same issue
I had another Tech install it on his laptop(same model as troubled user) -
Works fine
The Spreadsheet and WordProcessor both work fine in 6.0 and 7.0 - only the
DB seem gets the error listed above
Win XP has all the latest updates and whatnot. I haven't pulled down any
updates for Works, but the tech that had Works work for him installed just
like i did on the troubled laptop.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rich
