working in report design in access 2003 is very slow

When working in design mode for a report, the database (entire computer)
seems to lock up. There is a delay for every change (selecting fields,
editing, etc) is excessive. This seems to be unique to 2003, my database was
created in access 97 but converted to 2003. This problem is Just with Report
design. The reports Run normal.

You probably need to turn off the Name AutoCorrect feature. You can find
this under Tools | Options. On the General tab, uncheck "Track name
AutoCorrect info"
