I've created a database and with a new workgroup (mdw). I'm decided to put
the database in a share folder and later distribute a shorcut using /wrkgrp
so that user will prompt for the login dialog everytime when they launch the
shorcut. However, my question is how are we going to secure the databse (MDB)
it self? What I mean is since I have put the mdb on the share drive and it is
possible that some user can access directly to the mdb. Please advices.
Thanks in advances.

If they can open it without using your shortcut (specifying your mdw) then
you applied security incorrectly. Start over.

I suggest searching the web for one of the explicit step by step
instructions that several people have provided (not a page on Microsoft's
site). I believe one of the regulars in this group (Joan Wild) has such a
page. Read the steps several times through and then follow them exactly.
