Where can I find my network workgroup name in XP-pro. ,
and can i set a network up manual instead of using the
wizard

To find your workgroup name:

Right click My Computer
Properties
Computer name

Will say Workgroup name under Full comp name.

Setup Network Manually: (assigning IP and such)

Control Panel
Network Connections
right click "Local Area Connection"
Properties
highlight Internet Protocol
Properties
Use the following IP Address

(each comp different IP, same Subnet mask usually
255.255.255.0)
