Hi,

I have one computer in my network that runs xp. My
server is nt4.0 and all other stations are 98se.
I have server files networked as drives on all
workstations. Every time I restart the xp station I loose
my mapped drives. How can I get them to come up already
mapped like 98se does?

If you're saying that the mapped drives aren't even listed
after rebooting, then you need to look for the checkbox
when you are mapping the drive that says "Reconnect at
logon" and make sure its checked.

I have selected this check box, but they still do not
load. Any other thoughts?

Do they not appear at all or do they appear but with
red "X"s on them?

The only other thought i have is that you're seeing the
behavior that XP implemented by design where your drives
aren't connected until you use them, and dammit thats a
feature, not a bug!! (says Microsoft)
