Workgroup Information File

Can you run a database without the workgroup information
file you created for it? Is it possible to revert to the
situation that was before you created the workgroup
information file ?

Access is *always* using a workgroup information file. The
only question is whether it is a custom workgroup file or
the default (System.mdw). If you use your custom workgroup
file and log in as a user with admin privelages, then you
can give full permissions to the default user group "Users".
Once that is done you should be able to create a new blank
file using the default workgroup file and then import all of
the objects from your file into the blank one. At that
point you have a file where the Admin user owns everything
and the Users group has full permissions to all objects.
This is the same as a file that was built from the default
workgroup in the first place.
