Workgroup & Folder redirection (romaing desktops)

Hi

I have set up a small workgroup (5 computers) for a friend (all machines are
xp pro) I have a dedicated machine as server rather than a client.

What I would like to do is to have all there desktops running off the
server, so its create a simplifed roaming profile (ie they can go to any
machine and get the same looking desktop / desktop shortcuts

I have been reading about folder redirection ... is the best way of
accomplishing this. ?
each user has their own mapped drive for a home space should i use it there
or make a so called hidden directory on the server machine and it place the
basic there.

An with the regard to the client machine i downloaded a tool to help with
folder redirection. i presume that i have to run this for each login on each
machine... or could i use a login script off the server to set this via the
registry for each user.

Thanks for any suggestions you may come up with

Regards Nick

You need a domain to use roaming profiles. I don't know of any method for
folder redirection unless it's local group policy on each machine.
Has your friend looked into SBS2003? It comes with 5 CALs built in.
