I have an 4 machine network at home where all of the
machines are in the same workgroup. 2 machines are XP
professional, 1 is XP home, and 1 is an SMB server. All
of the drives of all of the machines are shared. Every
machine can see every other machine and its shared
resources with 1 exception: one of the XP professional
machines goes "not responding" when it tries to browse
the XP Home machine. The XP Home machine machine can see
and browse all of the other machines. The machine that
goes "not responding" can browse all of the machines
except the XP Home machine. Also, the machine that hangs
on the browse has all of the printers attached to it, and
all the machines can print with no problem. Any thoughts
on where to look or what to try? Same error occurs with
or without firewalls and with out without SP2.
Thanks,
Jack
