Worked on one PC, not on another?

I downloaded the latest Beta version of MSAS on a friends
PC running XP (17 Feb 2005), did not choose to validate
Windows at download, software ran GREAT, found alot of
spyware etc. So decided to install it on my laptop
running Win2K (same day, just an hour later!), did go
ahead & validate my Windows, installed & ran the MSAS
scan, it found 0 (ZERO!!) spyware... I am thinking, uhhh
problem here, as I had not run any spyware detection over
the past 2 weeks, so I ran Spybot, which found 25
issues... very odd. Any clues why it works on XP not on
2K? Did all the updates etc before running scan but it
found nothing...install was fine and program seems happy
it found no problems.

It is doing what it is supposed to do.

This beta build does not scan for cookies.

The 25 items found on your machine by Spybot Search & Destroy were cookies.

Your friends PC had significant problems--executable code running on the
machine and both eating CPU and attracting ads. Much more important to root
out than cookies.

They've said that cookie handling is under consideration for a future build.
