Wordpad question

Pete

I was typing into Wordpad when someone blew a fuse and my computer shutdown.
Obviously when I reopened the file my changes were missing.

Does Wordpad put a temp file somewhere? I looked in my standard temp
directory but found nothing.

Thanks.

I don't think it does. MS Word has an autosave feature, but Wordpad is a
pretty stripped down application. A better solution for the future
would be to 1) save early and often; 2) get an Uninterruptible Power
Supply.

Sorry but it definitely doesn't have autosave. In fact if you don't
save your document in Word, it won't autosave and hard shutdown like
you experienced is enough to dump anything in the RAM.
