I am trying to create a master document that includes many elements that
could change (for example, differences per state, region, etc). I would like
to create a master doc with the bracketable/changeable elements....How do I
then QUICKLY insert the elements that are different? I'd like to be able to
create a spreadsheet that shows the elements per state, region, etc....and
somehow import them into the Word doc in the right places, creating one new
document per state or region with the unique elements now added in. HOW DO I
DO THIS? Help...?

You could certainly use a mail merge for this, but if you want separate
documents, then you'll need to split the resulting merged document into its
components. Doug Robbins has a macro that will do this, however.
