Word

When I try to sign into word, it doesn't do anything, the initial sign comes
up and the tool bar, that ays microsoft word 200, but then nothing, I can't
open any documents that are word. the excell and everything else works,. but
the word does not. when I go into my documents, it has something scrolling
that says finalizing installation. But I don't know what that is. I need
help.

A few of things come to mind:

1) You can try deleting MS Word and then reinstalling it.
2) You can try a "system restore" to see if you can restore back to the good
old times when this didn't occur.
3) Have you tried to run a registry repair software, s.a. Registry Mechanic?
4) You can run the MS Word Installer Cleanup Utility (see articles at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295823 and
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301).
