Word is not included with XP, but if you have used office in windows 98
then the version will appear exactly the same in XP, providing that it
is not too old.

Hello!
word is not a part of Operating system i.e. xp/88 SE.
It depends upon the version of office suit you are using.
Office Xp we now use with xp but previously it was office
2000 which we used to use in win 98.But it doesn't mean
that you can't use office xp in win 98 or vice versa.
