I don't seem to be able to set up word so that when I click on a new document it is justified as default - how do i set this up? I have tried everything i can think of and it has been driving me crazy! thanks

Set up a blank page with whatever margins, fonts, justifications
you want, and then click File > Page Setup > Default....

Do a search in Microsoft Word Help for changing the NORMAL template.
