Word xp attachment in outlook xp

Want to be able to double click on word attachment and
have it open instead of having to save it first. can
someone help me with this? thanks

Windows' file settings control the behavior of some attachments that you open.

In Windows Explorer, choose Tools | Folder Options | File Types. Select the extension for the file type, then click Advanced. You should see a checkbox for "Confirm open after download."
