Word won't allow editing any doc while using a mouse function

When using Word, we can't use mouse funtions to edit a doc., newsletter, or
template. We can use the arrows to get to a part of a doc but can't select
anything.

It sounds like you may have the Macro Recorder running, but without more
details & what version of Word it's rather difficult to tell.

Are the documents protected? Does this happen in NEW documents? Are you
using an expired Trial version? If it's a purchased copy have you Activated
it? What does the pointer look like when you point to the document text?

Keep in mind that nobody here has any more insight on your circumstances
than what you provide.

I'm in the same boat. Word 2007, all of a sudden I can't use my mouse to
select anything in the text window... I can select menu functions, but not
text.... I turned off the Developer menu bar, but no effect.. HELP!
