Dear Group

Please excuse my ignorance! I'm not sure whether that's a setting in IE or
Word so I'm also trying my luck here!!

Since I've installed Word 2003 on my machine I'm
getting Word toolbars in my browser window when calling a word document by
an URL e.g. http://mydomain/mydocs/mydoc.doc

The document to view in the browser is dynamically created on my webserver
and uses a .dot as base document created in Word 2002. It's a mail merge
document so once I open a generated document by calling it's URL, I not only
get the Rewiewing Toolbar but also the Mailmerge Toolbar. How can I supress
these?

I tried placing an AutoExec Macro in my base and the generated document
disabling the Reviewing Toolbar but it is still displayed in the browser.

Any hints are greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your time & efforts!

Martin

I too am having this problem. The only difference is that my documents are
htm files and posted to our company intranet. I have tried removing all
toolbars from the Word document, saving the changes; when the files is viewed
in IE 6 browser they're still there.
