Word Test Question Box

In word 2003 there was a way to place a box in front of a question where the
applicant would place a check for the right answer(s). I have Office 2007
and have not been able to locate this same function - need directions to
locate and use this. MS and all their support forams are a PIA to say the
least.

Do you want the user to be able to check the box on the computer or do you
just need a box for manual checking with a pen or pencil?

My first need is electronically so that my tests can be checked. I would
also like to know the manual form because I may have a few tests that will be
done manually at or during the class Tks TAMC

Well, the solutions are not entirely mutually exclusive, but the print-only
solution (which would include a check box graphic as a "bullet") won't do
you any good. Instead, you'll need to create an actual protected form with
check box form fields (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/FillinTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to) or, if you
don't need any other form fields in the document, use MacroButton fields
similar to those used on the fax cover sheet templates that ship with Word
(see http://gregmaxey.mvps.org/Add_Toggle_Objects.htm).

While this didn't provide the direct answer, I did find the 'checked box' and
have added it to my ribbon. It is this check box that i was looking for and
just didn't know what MS called or identified it as.
I have used this and inserted it into a word document just fine. My next
question concerns how to mark this check box 'checked once it is in my
document.
Right ckicking i get properties and if my curser is in fromt of the check
box then I can selecty to check it - however this is a lot of strokes. From
my ribbon it is incerted as a non-checked box yet in word properties I didn't
locate an already checked box [For my lessions I create a question sheet and
then I create an answer sheet]. From the answer sheet the IT guy then sets
up the electronic testing file. I am going to try and create Macros for each
box and attempt to use these to prepare my question and answer sheets.
Any suggestions how to create a macro easily? Again thanks TAMC

questions would be answered. As noted, when the form is protected, you check
the box by clicking on it or pressing the spacebar.
