Word recognize that a section of the edited doc is NEW, an INSERTion, NOT to be

Does anyone know how to make Word recognize that a
section of the edited doc is NEW, an INSERTion, NOT to be
compared to anything in the original doc?? Is there some
way to mark the new section so the compare recognizes it
as an insertion?
Do you know someone who uses the compare feature enough
to answer this question?

If you have Track Changes turned on, anything added to a
document will be marked as an insertion...
