Word processing -Works 2001

When I start typing a letter each word I type is followed
by . and when I hit the space bar same thing happens what
can I do to fix this problem. It a pain!

Ron,

I'm not familiar with Works but in Word, if there is a period between words
that is half as high as the text then the Nonprinting characters,Spaces,
checkbox has been checked. You might look under the Tools menu in Works,
click on Options and see if there is a View tab that has this setting. If
so, uncheck it and you should be good to go. If not, follow the link Chris
gave you to the Works newsgroup.

From you description I *think* you are referring to the dots which show
spaces. Toggled on/off by press the "paragraph" toolbar icon.
