Do you mean the recently used file list? The files are really not
there, that is just a list of the file names and the locations Word last say
them.

I have to add that you need to provide the version of Word you are using
and if you are not using Vista, the version of Windows you are using. If
you are using Vista that version would not be a bad idea to indicate as
well.

i'm using vista home premium and i'm using what ever version of microsoft
word that comes with it

Microsoft Word is a program, and just as with any other program, there
are no files *in* it.

The files you use Microsoft Word on are document files, and just like
any files, they are stored in a folder on your disk drive.

Since these are document files, they are very likely stored in the
Documents folder. To delete a file of any time, use Windows Explorer
or Computer, navigate to the appropriate folder (in this case,
Documents), click on the file, and then press the delete key.

Microsoft Word does not come with any version of Windows. It is a separate program, sold
separately.
You PC maker may have included a version of Word as "Come-on", in which case we still need to know
'what version'.
But as you were told, the list of files when you use the FILE - OPEN menu is simply a list of
recently opened documents.
The list changes as you open more documents. Documents in the last may or may not be on the
computer.

No offense, but your question does not make sense. You can't delete files
out of Microsoft Word, but you can delete files created with Microsoft Word,
simply right click a Word document and click delete or select them and press
Delete on the Keyboard.

If want to uninstall the program Microsoft Word, open Control Panel >
Programs and Features > from the listing select Microsoft Office Word 2007
or Microsoft Office 2007 and click Uninstall from the toolbar.

You obviously have a trial version of Office that came with your computer,
unhless you ordered Office to be installed when you bought it.

Who cares about that. That is not your prob.

What you are seeing is merely a reference to recently opened Word files;
whether they are still on your computer or not!
You can not delete from that particular spot as they may or may not exist!
