Word perfect 10

I suddenly cant print any documents created in work perfect, even old
documents that I have printed many times. I can print from hotmail or
anywhere else but when I try to print a word document it freezes up as soon
as I hit the print button. Not sure what I am missing here?

If WordPerfect is the only app that exhibits this behavior go to the
newsgroup corel.WordPerfect10 on the news server cnews.corel.com. It's a
WordPerfect issue, not a Windows one. It's therefore not only inappropriate
here in a Windows newsgroup, but you are also much more likely to get good
support there.

WP10 sometimes get's flaky (technical term) under XP. Some don't have
issues, some do. You might try uninstalling then reinstalling it.
Upgrading to WP11 or behind cured it for me. As Ken said one of the Corel
forums would be best.

I ran WordPerfect 10, 11, 12, and now X3 under Windows XP, all without any
significant problems at all. Perhaps I was one of the lucky ones.

I know. I had a coworker who ran 10 with no issues either. For me all
would be running fine then bingo it would just not open properly, opening to
a WP window with everything blank. Stopping it through task manager, then
trying to restart it wouldn't open at all. Only fix was a
uninstall/reinstall. I researched it some and found something that said
WP10 was not fully compatible with XP and it recommended the upgrade to
WP11. By that time 12 was out so I went to 12, and just a bit later X3 came
out, very fast after the release of 12 it seemed. I have stayed with 12 -
just couldn't justify the cost of the upgrade. It runs great on XP and in
Vista.

I'm running X3 under Vista on this machine (previously under XP). It runs
great here too. I run WP12 on my laptop, under XP, also running just fine.
Thinking back over all the years I've run WP (since 4.1 or 4.2), I remember
having an occasional minor issue, but I don't remember any version ever
crashing or refusing to run.

I don't blame you for not upgrading to X3. The differences from 12 are very
minor, and not worth the cost of upgrading, in my view.

Thanks for the update on X3. The cost is fairly high so it's nice to know
it's not worth it. Yep I started with 4.1 and WP10 on XP was the only
significant problem I had, oh wait, let's not forget the first windows
version 6...what a nightmare!

The last DOS version, 6.0c was incredible. What a tour-de-force for a DOS
based programs.
