Word opens in header. How do I get it to open in body instead?

Everytime Word opens, it opens within the header. Then I have to select
header/footer from the view menu and close the header to get the cursor into
the text body itself. My Word program on my home computer doesn't do this;
it opens within the text body like it should. I can't get my work version to
default to the text body, however. This is very annoying. No one in my IT
department can figure it out. Can anyone out there give us some help?

Thanks.

If this is Word 2003, it isn't really opening in the header. Unless you see
a dotted box that says "Header," you are not in the header pane, just at the
top of the document. See http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm
