Word Footers

Hi, I am trying to make a footer co-operate and it really doesn't want to
work. It is automatically putting page 3 of ... and it is only page two and
every time I try to change it, it will still do it. Now, I am very familiar
with the Word program (have even taken a cource and got high 90's in it) but
I can't seem to figure out why it is doing this. Page breaks are normal,
everything is normal, except for this. Can anyone help?

Make sure you have the correct page number format for that section, either
continuing from the previous section or starting wherever you need it to
start.

Make sure there isn't an odd-even page conflict going on. Example, your
section break is for an odd page, but you've started the page numbering at 2.

There are also page numbering problems sometimes associated with having
background printing turned on. This doesn't sound like that kind of problem
(page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2, page 3 of 3, etc.) but it might not hurt to see
if your background printing option is on or off.
