Word documents corrupted when e-mailed

Dave S.

I am having trouble with my Word documents getting corrupted when they are
e-mailed through Outlook. On my end the documents are fine. If I copy the
documents to a stick and open them again they are fine. However, if I e-mail
them and the recipient tries to open the attachments they get a message that
the file is corrupted. Oddly, this happens with my wife's computer as well.

We are using the same versions of Outlook 2003 and all of the updates have
been loaded. I reloaded Office 2003 and continue to have the problem.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If you have a Virus Scanner set to scan outgoing mail, disable it. It provides zero protection and causes exactly this type of problem.
