opening documents attached to e-mails received in outlook express

All documents received via e-mail open in publisher regardless of program
they were created in. Word, powerpoint, & excel documents open or attempt to
open in Publisher. I have MS Office 2003.

Do documents that are saved to your HDD open in Publisher as well?

No, documents stored on the HD open with the program that created them

What version of Windows? (it's slightly different on Vista than it is in
XP...)

Start-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs. Double-click on Office and it
should give you an option to Repair.

HTH (You might need your Office CD......)
