Word Document - Justified Margin Problem

When I justify my documents, sometimes it causes words to
have spaces within them that aren't supposed to be there.
Ex. M r. Doe h as a cat. The spaces are being caused by
the justification format, not a deliberate space, as is
verified by revealing my formatting. I have tried using
only one space after each period, but that does not always
correct the problem. Is there a way to eliminate this
problem?

That being said, sounds like you have formatted the text to be
"justified". That means what it says. The text will be "justified" and
Word will add space between letters and words to fill the line width.
You should change formatting to left, right, or center justified if you
want something different.
