Word Docs

I have some pages on my site that are word docs. They work fine on the web.
The problem is that every time I update my web site and publish to the host,
the updated files upload, plus ALL of the word doc files, even though they
haven't been changed. It's not a big deal but it does waste time uploading
files that haven't been changed. If I convert them to html or PDF I don't
have the problem but I don't always want to do that. Any ideas on why it
does that and how I can change that?

If using FrontPage 2003
Right click on the file and select "Don't Publish".
The file will not publish again until you change the status.
