Word doc titles in folder

Suddenly, all Word document titles in some folders (stored in My Documents)
have turned blue, rather than black. I have no clue why. The documents are
otherwise OK. I can open them, change, them, etc.

Files whose names appear in blue in Explorer or in file (Open, Save As) dialogs
are compressed by Windows. The operating system automatically uncompresses the
file in memory when you open it, and recompresses it when you save it.

I don't know how files might become compressed if you didn't explicitly tell
Windows to do it. To undo it (if you care), right-click the file icon and choose
Properties > Advanced, then uncheck the "Compress contents" box and click OK.

That explains it! I did compress files. I just wasn't aware how it would look
after doing it. Thanks. --Ed LeRoy
