WORD - delays opening this application

We have Windows XP Professional. When we open WORD we
receive the Preparing to Install message and then it take
at least 30 seconds for Word to open and allow us to
begin using it. We receive this same message with Excel,
Powerpoint,etc but these applications are quickly
available, unlike WORD.

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried reinstalling MS-Office?
