word crashing

I have a word(office 2003) document. After a word crashing, when I try to
open the document word go to crash. Can I "restore" the document?

What is your OS...XP? If so, you have a back-up of each Word file...look in
temporary files...maybe Search/*.tmp...its probably there. Very often when
you start up the computer, you'll see a notice stating you have a backed up
file that was saved..."do you want to restore it?" Hit YES, or click on it
twice, and it should open. Sometimes, letting your system "rest" after an
incident, or shutting it down, let's the program fix itself...hopefully for
you--eh! Just a users 'tip.

Delete the file Normal.dot and try again.

Please post to Word or Office ng where they have experience with the
programs.

How about "restoriing" your post in a WORD newsgroup? Notice that
WORD is absent in the group's title.
