i attach my resume and the resume is sent in the same window as written.
The office button, home, insert, page layout ..etc. The attachment can be

The same thing happened to me! I sent my resume as an attachment thru my
Google email acct. and the company could see my word docs. I did not get the
job but at least they told me. ALL MY RESUMES have been sent like that.
Cannot find an answer on how to prevent that anywhere.

My specific question is how do I prevent potential employers from seeing the
ribbon and being able to access all my documents?I sent my resume as an
attachment thru my Google email acct. and the company could see my all my
folders and word docs. I did not get the job but at least they told me. ALL
MY RESUMES have been sent like that.
Cannot find an answer on how to prevent that anywhere.

Please send your résumé to my email address, and I'll see if what you
describe is true, as I don't think it's possible.

What the employer saw was the ribbon and when they clicked on the button it
revealed their documents rather than mine. The phone call I received from the
employer intitially stated they could click on the button and reveal my
documents. When I save the doc do I have to click prepare and final to ensure
the ribbon will not be included?

If they open the document in Word, then of course they see the Word UI. The
Ribbon is not "included"; the Ribbon is on their system, same as it is when
you open a Word document someone sends to you.
