Word as outlook e-mail editor makes keys produce no letters

When I made word my e-mail editor for messages I receive through Outlook, I
was suddenly unable to type into new e-mails. That is, when I go to send
new e-mail, I can enter the "To" e-mail address, etc but when I go below to
type the text of the message no letters appear as I press gthe keys (so I
can't create the message).

Locate normal.dot and rename it to .old when Word and Outlook are closed and
try again.
