Word as default e-mail editor

Q

Question Boy

I have outlook setup to use Word as my default e-mail editor. However, what
I have recently discovered is the recipient does not get the e-mail as it
appears to me. At my end it appears perfect, however, when the recipient
receives it the line spacing seems to be double. Why is this? Should it not
appear as I see it when I create the mail?

Thank you,

QB

Depends on what printer the recipient has. If it's a different one to yours,
then the view may well differ.

I don't mean to be rude, but the #@#! does a printer have to do with
anything? and I'm not saying you're wrong (with computers and MS anything is
possible).

If I create a word document, regardless of printers it should print the way
is is/was setup up. If I create an e-mail arial 8, single line spacing, I
would expect it to print exactly in that format! So what am I missing?
What method ensure that what I setup will be what the recipient will see?

Thank you

Yep, I didn't believe that either! But apparently, the view of a document
depends on what printer drivers are installed....

double spacing in html is caused by how the client handles the tags. word
uses <p> tags and that means double spaced in web clients, like gmail and
hotmail.
