Word Accessing Contacts - Warning Message

Chris

I have word setup as my email editor in Outlook XP. After
SP3 was installed, every email that I create is preempted
by a message stating "A program is trying to access e-mail
addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to
allow this?

If this is an unexpected, it may be a virus and you should
choose "No"."

It them promptes for how long to allow the program to
utilize my contacts. How can I get rid of this message
for Word?

Deselct Word as your editor and then outlook wont bother
you.

You can do this by goint to Tools > Options and "Mail
Format" tab. You can remove check mark from "Use
Microsoft Word......"

You probably have some templates in Word from third party vendors. Remove
the templates from Word's startup and you should be fine.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I too am having this problem and it is frustrating me
since I am so used to word as my email editor and send out
atleast 50 emails in the couple of hours that i work and
a simple "do not use word" does not seem to help me.

The only templete in my startup folder in office is the
PDFMaker.DOT and I am not sure if I can delete it. I have
to convert all the documents that i create in word to PDF
before sending it out (official requirement).

Also, whenever I sync my pocket PC this error keeps
popping up and I have to deal with this error more and
more. Any fix for this. I am using the latest SP3 for
office and the latest activesync 3.7.1
