I have no idea what's causing this security warning.

I am using Outlook XP 2002 SP3. I just installed this recently and I
finally got around to puttin in contacts. As soon as I add a contact,
I get this error message repeatedly: 'A program is trying to access
e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook. Do you want to allow
this? If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should choose
"No".' I have no idea what other program could be accessing the
contacts. If I select "yes" or "no" then Outlook gives me the same
message again a few seconds later.

It gives it to me continuously, no matter what I do. I don't have any
software that should be accessing the address book. I don't have any
address book synchronizer software. I disabled all of the add-in's. I
disabled the part of my anti-virus software that secures my email (in
case it was doing it). I am not using Word as my email editor. I did
a full disk virus scan and didn't find anything.

What could be causing it? Any ideas? thanks in advance,

Do you use a Virus Checker Utility? Is it up-to-date?
Do you use a Spyware checker? Is it up-to-date?

If you have these intalled, run a complete check on your system.

AS a second thought, another thing I would look for is a "rogue"
VBAProject.OTM type file in your system.

This is a "Macro for Outlook" type file. It could be that you
built one on accident (or something like that). When you have a
macro that is built to run in "This Outlook Session", it will fire
when you open Outlook. If this was some kind of macro that
does some automation with your contacts, this would explain
the problem each time you try and add one.

Try searching your system for this.

I do have anti-virus and anti-spyware software. I have done a full
hard drive scan using both of these and there is nothing that would
cause this. I have searched my hard drive and there are no ".otm"
files anywhere. This is a new computer that I just got and installed
Office 2002 on, and then any time that I add anything into Contacts, I
get that security warning incessantly. Any ideas? Does Microsoft have
a tech support team that I could email with a question?
