Word '97 Spell Check - Windows XP

I installed Word 97 so that I would have the spell check feature in my
Outlook express mail. I have checked the box in tools/options/spelling but
when I send a message I get a pop up that reads: "The spell check on this
document was halted. Would you like to send it anyway? My last computer ran
with Windows XP and this same version of Word with the spell check working
fine in Outlook Express. Could it be that a newer version of XP won't work
with this old Word version? I am running Outlook Express 6, not sure what
version the old computer used. Have uninstalled and reinstalled Word 97 with
no luck.

I went to http://www.tech-pro.net and searched in the How To on Home Page,
downloaded the missing file everyone talks about to a floppy then loaded it
as per the instructions and, for me at least, it works.
