Word 97-2000 can you click on at index itm & goto the page its on

I would like to creat a parts list which will have a picture and description
of each item on seperate pages. I can creat an Index of thess, but can I
create a link on the Index Page that when clicked on will take me straight to
the page the item is on.

That would be a hyperlinked index, and no, Word does not offer that feature.

If the parts list is alphabetical, however, a TOC would do what you want.
