Word 2007 unresponsive

When I opened word 2007 either from the start menu or from a saved document
word starts to open then does nothing. Neither the keyboard nor mouse is
functional. Data from previously saved documents cannot be seen and these
are documents that were saved in word 2007.

I am working in Windows XP and using word 2007 home and student version.

I too am having this problem.

If I try to open Word 07 from a saved document file nothing works and the
page is blank. When I close the window I get a "MS Word has quit responding"
message.

However I can start Word 07 from the start menu and open word documents
while inside word, but my mouse is ineffective. Which makes it very hard to
edit several pages using the up down left and right arrows.

I have tried repairing and reinstalling. If anyone knows of a fix it would
be greatly appreciated.

I am using Vista Ultimate and MS Office Enterprise 2007
