Word 2007 not backing up full original doc

I have a Word document that is about 28 pages long at the moment. As
I have been creating it I have been backing it up periodically. I
just check the backup and it is only displaying pages 1-15. Yikes. I
opened the original, made a small change to it and closed it. I
opened the backup. Still only pages 1-15. I repeated the process
again with the original, and the backup still shows only pages 1-15.

Anybody know what gives???? I really need to backup the full original
(it may be 50 pages+ when I'm done).
Many thanks.

Has the file date of the backup file changed? If not it seems that Word may
not longer be backing up files. Check Word Options > Advanced >Save > Always
create backup copy is still checked.

As an alternative you could investigate the macros at
http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm and
http://www.gmayor.com/save_numbered_versions.htm to ensure that your backups
are properly saved.
