Word 2007 Mail Merge: Fill-in Field Code question

G

How do I delete a Fill-In field dode in a mail merge document? I can't see
the code in the document, but it runs---asking for the fill-in
information---everytime I run the merge. Thanks.

Hi Cyndie,

If you open the mailmerge template and press Ctrl-A followed by Alt-F9, searching for 'FILLIN' should turn up any Fillin fields in
the document. You can select the field (not just the word 'Fillin') and delete it, replacing it with whatever alternative text you
want. When you're done, press Alt-F9 again to toggle the field code display off.

Cheers

Alt+F9 should display the field code. You can then search for it with the
Find dialog by searching for ^d or ^19 or using Browse by Field.
