WORD 2007: automatically complete an often used word or phrase

In Word 2003 an entry in "auto text" would allow the user to complete a word
or phrase as they typed the first 3 or 4 letters. The phrase would appear and
the user could hit enter to complete the word or phrase as shown, or ignore
it and continue on. The only thing I can find in Word 2007 is the use of
autocorrect, which does not give the user the option of choosing the auto
completed selection or not. Online help has been of no use on this one.

You could still save it as autotext, then to insert it later, press F3 after
typing a few characters. I don't think you can get it to display the
autocomplete tip though.

You could use the AutoCorrect feature also. Type a letter combination, that
you would not normally use, for example, zx, in the Replace window and the
word, phrase,or paragraph in the Replace With window. Then just type the
letter combo and a space to insert your desired text.

Note also that you can create *formatted* AutoCorrect entries, which can
contain not only formatted text, but text boxes, tables, etc. To create one,
first insert an "example entry" in the document, select it, and then open
the AutoCorrect dialog box (for example via Office button | Word Options,
Proofing category, AutoCorrect Options button).
