It appears to me that if I select a language other than English(United
States) as my editing language, autocorrect does not supply a list of words,
so that "teh" is not corrected to "the". Is this correct, and if it is, how
do I get a list for English (New Zealand) for instance?

AutoCorrect entries are indeed stored in separate .acl files by language.
But if you have English (New Zealand) selected, Word should be using the
appropriate .acl file.

That's what I would have expected - so why is it not happening? I must say
that this is not unique to me. What prompted the question was a problem with
my local SeniorNet group, where student's home computers (presumably set to
US English) were working as expected, but the club computers were not.

I have noticed something odd in the way Word 2007 deals with this but can't
repeat it at the moment.

I would answer more definitively if I were qualified to do so, but this is
an area in which I am not very knowledgeable. The newsgroup that deals with
this general area is microsoft.public.word.spelling.grammar, but it's not
very high-traffic.

I've managed a work-around by taking a copy of the US English .acl file and
using it to replace the NZ English file. This appears to solve the problem,
but is a PITA as I will have to be doing it on all the club computers as well.
It all seems very weird to me.
