My computer has suddenly stopped reacting to tab and shift-tab when I
autonumber. Usually this works without my having to go to Format, bullets
and numbering, outline number. I have checked to see that autonumber is
selected in AutoFormat. As a teacher I have used this feature for years to
make tests, but it suddenly doesn't work. I noticed that this happened to my
computers at school last semester but seemed to correct itself. It is
extremely frustrating, can anyone help?
 
On the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options, check the
box for "Set first- and left-indent with tabs and backspaces."
