Word 2003 spell checker problem

Word 2003 spell check is picking up mispelling in blue text but not in black
text ;also it just checks document once then won't see same errors twice,
then have to close and reopen to start over.

For example: it sees mispeling once, clicked ignore, it doesn't see 2nd
instance and bypasses it to blue text paragraph, then bypasses black text

Any ideas?

When you have told Word to ignore a misspelling, then that's what it does
unless you tell it to "Recheck document." I'm guessing that your black text
has "Do not check spelling or grammar" formatting.

Select a misspelled word in the black text. Go to Tools/Language/Set language.
Which language is selected? Is the checkbox about not checking spelling or
grammar activated?
