Ignore ALL mispelled words

I have the spell checker turned on. After it finds all the mispelled words,
sometimes I want to ignore all of them (especially if I have some programming
code in the document). Is there a way to ignore all the mispelled words in
one shot instead of stepping through each mispelled word and selecting IGNORE.

I don't want to go in and turn the spell checker off for just one document
and then have to go turn it back on again.

Select the text. Tools>Language>Set Language>Do not check spelling
and grammar.

that's basically what I am trying to avoid, changing settings. If I'm going
to do that I may as well go into TOOLS | OPTIONS | SPELLING AND GRAMMER and
turn off the spell checker and then turn it back on when I'm done.

What I want to do, in essence, is to override the current settings one time,
not change them and change them back

Well you can't get something for nothing. Without changing something
how is Word supposed to know if you are done playing with spelling or
not?

However by checking spelling in an area in a document and then
changing the language setting for that area of text is not the same
thing as turning spell checking on and off. The checking of spelling
in that area of the document is off forever unless you turn it back
on. Spelling in the rest or your document, a document you start
tomorrow, or start next week is not affected.

There are a couple of ways to deal with this:

1. If you want to hide the spelling errors but still be able to run the
spelling check, choose "Hide spelling errors in this document." This will
suppress the wavy lines on the display for just that document (without
affecting others).

2. If you want to ignore all misspellings and prevent spell checking
entirely, Ctrl+A to select all the text, go to Tools | Language | Set
Language and check "Do not check spelling or grammar."

In your case, though, it sounds as if there is specific text that you want
to exempt from spell checking. The best approach for this is to define a
style (character or paragraph as appropriate) that includes "Do not check
spelling or grammar." A character style can be Default Paragraph Font + Do
not check spelling or grammar. Apply this style to the text you don't want
spell-checked.
