Word 2003 - open files

When I start MS Word 2003 in the "getting started" window there is a
search box and underneath that is a "open" window, that has the last few
documents that you opened showing.

How can I stop those documents from showing?

I already went to tools>options>general tab>recently used file list and
set that option to zero.

thanks

You can stop this Startup Task Pane from appearing (Tools, Options, View
clear box next to this option), not sure if you can customise the pane
itself? Maybe someone else can offer a suggestion.
Hope this helps
