When I create a new document it only is allowing me one page. When I hit the
enter button it will go to the end of the first page only and does not
automatically go to a second page. How do I correct this?

Keep typing, and when you've filled up the first page, it
automatically gives you the second page.

If you need to start a new page before you've filled the first page,
put the cursor in the first empty paragraph, go to Format > Paragraph,
go to the second tab, and choose Page Break Before.

(What, you don't always have your non-printing characters -- or at
least your paragraph and tab marks -- always showing? Shame on you!)

Unfortunately it is not 'automatically' giving me a second page, and therein
lies the problem. And no, I do not have the 'non-printing' characters
showing. Unfortunately do to a very bad vehicular accident and subsequent
brain trauma I suffer from some memory loss and I am having to relearn some
things, so please bare with me. I apologize if my Word issues are readily
apparent to others. Thank you for your time.

What happens when you type to the bottom of the page and keep typing?

Try this: Go to Format | Columns and click on the preset picture for One
(even if 1 column is already selected), then click OK.

If that solves the problem in the current document and you are experiencing
the problem in all new documents, you will need to make this change in
Normal.dot; for instructions on how to find and edit Normal.dot, see
